Why am I a doula?
Birth is a beautiful, vulnerable, life-changing event and I believe those who give birth deserve radically compassionate care. I believe birthing people are experts of their own bodies and should be able to take the lead in the birth process. I am passionate about supporting all people, especially folks who identify as LGBTQ+ and are underserved in our communities. I have advocacy experience and in my work, I hope to address racism, the patriarchy, and heteronormative structures that my clients experience throughout pregnancy and birth. From the moment you hire me, I am here to support, inform and advocate for you through prenatal, birth, and postpartum. Planning for birth can be overwhelming; my goal is to walk with you in ensuring you feel confident going into labor, delivery, and parenthood.
Our time together is individualized based on your specific wants and needs. Regardless if you are intending a home, birthing center, or hospital birth you will have an emotionally intelligent, inclusive and well-researched support doula by your side.
